Glenwood's chapel was designed by eminent architect Glenn Brown in 1892. It has been designated a Historic Landmark of the District of Columbia and is also enrolled on the National Register of Historic Places. A handsome plaque on the wall near the entrance announces these dual awards by the District of Columbia's Historic Preservation Review Board and the United States Department of Interior.
